1. Introduction and Definitions

1.1 Regulatory Compliance

All operations of PrimeStaker Gaming Limited trading as StakeNaija.ng are conducted under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and subject to applicable gaming and lottery regulations issued by competent authorities.

PrimeStaker Gaming Limited is duly incorporated under the laws of Nigeria with Registration Number RC9190503.

1.2 Acceptance of Terms

These Betting Rules and Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between StakeNaija.ng and every registered customer (“Player”, “Customer”, “User”, or “Client”) who accesses or uses any service offered on the platform.

By creating an account, placing a bet, or using any part of the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Rules and Terms & Conditions.

1.3 Definitions

For the purpose of these Betting Rules:

  • “Account” means a registered user account created on StakeNaija.ng.
  • “Bet” or “Wager” means any stake placed by a customer on any event, game, or market available on the platform.
  • “Customer” / “Player” / “Client” refers to any individual registered on StakeNaija.ng.
  • “Platform” refers to the StakeNaija.ng website, mobile application, agent channels, and all associated services.
  • “Company” refers to PrimeStaker Gaming Limited.
  • “Force Majeure” refers to events beyond reasonable control including but not limited to acts of God, power failure, internet disruption, war, strikes, government restrictions, natural disasters, system failure, or regulatory actions.
  • “Official Source” refers to recognized sports governing bodies, data providers, or event organizers used by StakeNaija.ng for result settlement.

1.4 Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, graphics, text, software, designs, content, and materials displayed on StakeNaija.ng are the exclusive property of PrimeStaker Gaming Limited or its licensors.

Users are prohibited from copying, reproducing, distributing, modifying, or commercially exploiting any content without prior written consent from the Company.

2. Account Rules, Deposits & Withdrawals

2.1 Eligibility

To register and use StakeNaija.ng, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or above the legal gambling age in your jurisdiction.
  • Be legally permitted to participate in betting activities under Nigerian law.
  • Provide accurate, complete, and verifiable registration details.
  • Use only your personal payment methods and identity documents.

StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to request identity verification documents at any time, including but not limited to:

  • National Identification Number (NIN)
  • International Passport
  • Driver’s License
  • Permanent Voter’s Card
  • Utility Bill or Proof of Address
  • Proof of ownership of payment method

Failure to provide requested documents may result in account suspension, restriction, or closure.

2.2 One Account Policy

Only one account is permitted per person, household, device, email address, phone number, or payment method.

StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to suspend or permanently close multiple or duplicate accounts and void associated bets, bonuses, or winnings.

2.3 Account Security

Customers are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

Any activity conducted through your account using your username and password shall be deemed valid and authorized by you.

StakeNaija.ng shall not be liable for unauthorized access resulting from negligence, password sharing, phishing, or device compromise.

2.4 Deposits

Deposits may be made using approved payment methods provided on the platform.

StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to:

  • Decline deposits;
  • Request additional verification;
  • Reverse suspicious or fraudulent transactions;
  • Restrict accounts involved in irregular payment activities.

Funds deposited into your account are intended strictly for betting purposes and not for banking or money transfer activities.

2.5 Withdrawals

Withdrawals are processed subject to internal security checks and compliance procedures.

StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to:

  • Request additional KYC verification before processing withdrawals;
  • Delay or decline withdrawals suspected to involve fraud, collusion, bonus abuse, arbitrage, or money laundering;
  • Process withdrawals only to payment methods registered in the customer’s name.

Customers may be required to wager deposited funds before withdrawal approval.

2.6 Withdrawal Processing Time

Withdrawal requests are typically processed within 24–48 business hours excluding weekends, public holidays, banking delays, or exceptional verification cases.

2.7 Maximum Payout

The maximum payout limits are as follows:

  • Maximum online sportsbook payout per betslip: ₦50,000,000
  • Maximum payout for shop/agent tickets where applicable: subject to location-specific limits and internal risk management policies.

StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to limit payouts where suspicious or coordinated betting activities are detected.

2.8 Fraud, Syndicates & Collusion

StakeNaija.ng strictly prohibits:

  • Syndicate betting;
  • Match manipulation;
  • Insider betting;
  • Coordinated wagering;
  • Multi-accounting;
  • Arbitrage betting;
  • Bonus abuse;
  • Use of bots, scripts, automation tools, or betting software;
  • Identity theft or payment fraud.

Where suspicious activity is detected, StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts;
  • Void bets and winnings;
  • Withhold balances pending investigation;
  • Report activities to regulatory or law enforcement authorities.

3. Sports Betting Rules

3.1 General Settlement Rules

Unless otherwise stated:

  • All bets are settled based on official results from recognized governing bodies or official data providers.
  • Bets are settled according to the result at the end of regular time unless the market specifically states “including overtime”, “extra time”, or “penalties”.
  • For football matches, regular time includes injury time but excludes extra time and penalties unless otherwise stated.

3.2 Postponed, Interrupted & Abandoned Events

Postponed Events

If an event is postponed and rescheduled within 48 hours of the original start time, all bets remain valid unless otherwise stated.

If the event does not resume within 48 hours, unsettled markets shall be voided and stakes refunded.

Abandoned Events

If an event is abandoned after commencement:

  • Markets already determined shall stand;
  • Undetermined markets shall be voided.

StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to void all bets if exceptional circumstances occur.

3.3 Right to Refuse or Cancel Bets

StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to:

  • Refuse any bet without explanation;
  • Void bets placed due to palpable error, incorrect odds, system malfunction, or technical failure;
  • Cancel bets involving insider information, suspicious activity, or rule violations.

3.4 Palpable Errors

A palpable or obvious error includes:

  • Incorrect odds;
  • Incorrect market information;
  • Incorrect participant names;
  • Technical pricing mistakes;
  • Incorrect event start times.

In such cases, StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to void affected bets regardless of settlement status.

3.5 Related Contingencies

Bets containing related or dependent selections may be voided or adjusted at StakeNaija.ng’s discretion.

Examples include:

  • Same-event correlated outcomes;
  • Coordinated multi-account wagers;
  • Duplicate betting structures intended to bypass payout limitations.

3.6 Venue & Event Changes

StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to void bets if:

  • The official venue changes significantly;
  • Event format changes materially;
  • Match duration or playing conditions are altered substantially.

4. Specific Market Rules

4.1 Goalscorer Markets

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Own goals do not count for goalscorer markets.
  • Players must participate in the match for bets to stand.
  • “Anytime Goalscorer” bets apply to players who score during regular time.

4.2 Booking Markets

  • Yellow card = 1 card
  • Red card = 2 cards
  • Second yellow leading to red = total of 3 cards

Only cards issued to active players during regular time count toward settlement.

Cards shown after the final whistle are excluded.

4.3 Corner Markets

Corners count only when physically taken.

Awarded but untaken corners do not count.

4.4 VAR (Video Assistant Referee)

StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to void bets affected by VAR decisions where the outcome or market conditions materially changed between the original referee decision and the final VAR ruling.

5. Technical Failures & Malfunctions

StakeNaija.ng shall not be liable for:

  • Internet disruptions;
  • Server outages;
  • Device malfunctions;
  • Software bugs;
  • Delayed broadcasts;
  • Telecommunications failures;
  • Human or technical errors.

In the event of system malfunction, StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to void affected bets and correct account balances where necessary.

6. Responsible Betting

StakeNaija.ng promotes responsible gaming and provides tools to help customers manage their betting activities responsibly.

Customers may request:

  • Self-exclusion;
  • Account suspension;
  • Betting limits;
  • Deposit limits;
  • Session reminders.

Customers who believe they may have a gambling problem are encouraged to seek professional support.

7. Anti-Money Laundering

StakeNaija.ng strictly prohibits the use of its platform for:

  • Money laundering;
  • Terrorist financing;
  • Fraudulent transfers;
  • Illegal financial activity.

Suspicious transactions may be reported to relevant authorities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

8. Limitation of Liability

StakeNaija.ng, its directors, employees, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect losses;
  • Loss of profits;
  • Business interruption;
  • Data loss;
  • Consequential damages;
  • Missed opportunities arising from use of the platform.

All services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Betting Rules shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Any disputes arising from these Rules shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts and applicable gaming regulatory authorities.

10. Amendments

StakeNaija.ng reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these Betting Rules and Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

Updated versions shall become effective immediately upon publication on the platform.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
